15. I have a true fondness for seashores.
I'll be driving down to visit the Outer Banks with Sugar Smack later this month.

My trip west will start the week following 4th of July.

5. Yes, indeed.
Its over a 1000 foot drop.

The walking path up the back is not a hard climb at all. Maybe 2 hours of light uphill hiking. No sheer drop offs until you get to the main rock. Beautiful view, though.

9. When Michael and I were at the Grand Canyon last summer
there was a spot where you could walk across a natural "bridge" (I don't know what it's really called) to get to a lookout spot. I had to stop and watch a little old lady with a walker head out before I could even think about it....

How close did you get to the edge? I do note that this country did not make this spot "Stupid Tourist Proof" with a fence.

11. I actually sat and dangled my legs over
but I was too scared to stand up that close.

There were several dozen people up there at the time. It was kind of fun to watch people and see how close each person's "danger zone" was. Some would just walk right up and look over, some wouldnt get within 20 feet of the edge.

From the British Virgin Islands, the Caribbean, I give you:

The Baths at Virgin Gorda

The Bitter End Yacht Club, Virgin Gorda ('Spensive place!)

From Quebec City, I offer:

Le Chateau Frontenac, the "Old City" (never actually stayed there, though I had lunch in one of its restaurants!)

On Edit: And, for some local flavor:

Higgins Beach, Scarborough, Maine, at sunset. Simply BEAUTIFUL beach.
