Poll question: Why did BBM "lose" the Oscars?

Also, it was too long. And Jake's moustache looked funny.

1. Other
They green-screened some of the river scenes when the cowboys were talking and it was just really distracting.

:sarcasm:

3. Other: Crash was about LA, and the Academy is from Hollywood.
Also, many in the Academy likely didn't see Brokeback Mountain due to the subject matter.

4. "Crash" hit me the same way that "Traffic" did.

Crash is to racism and prejudice as Brokeback is to gay issues. And Crash was a much, much harder movie to write and create.

6. Be prepared for that dark realism.
What I liked about Crash the most, was the theme, "What goes around, comes around." If it hadn't of been for that, I would have stopped watching it halfway because it is too realistic.

7. I voted
that the academy thought other movies were better.

To me, ignoring the gay stuff, and everything else: it's a romance. I generally don't like romances. Thus, I really don't want to see it.

And I think that people who thought BBM got snubbed ought to realize that perhaps the academy was looking at it from the objective, issue-free persepctive: they felt other movies were better
