3. But it's artistic expression!
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not music. There are some very talented pot-and-spoon (that sounded dirty) artists out there, not just the commercial crap you hear on the radio! :P

4. Sure it is.
ANYTHING can be music. Any sound, if you're imaginative enough, can be interpreted and defined as music. Shit, did John Cage die in vain or what?

(BTW, I know you're kidding; I'm addressing this to all the supposed liberals in this place think that hip hop "isn't" music.)

8. It was when I was three.
Mom said so. And it was far preferable to banging the pot lids together like cymbals.

The opposite of not-music is music, right?

12. Well, it could be if
the banger is having some rhythm.
Nothing worse than a square pot banger

13. Banging on pots only debases our culture and makes us...
...coarse and musically illiterate. Society has an interest in protecting our culture and not subjecting itself to offensive and degenerate forms of expression. No one is for censorship, but we must have some standards of decency. Do you think Mozart would have hit pots or whatever they had back then with wood? Well do you?!

(Side note, this is the kind of argument Fundies use to advocate censorship of profanity and depictions of sex.)
