Funniest moment of the Oscars - Tom Hanks getting pounded by a Violin
Seriously, we all want to pound him with a Violin from time to time - it was our fondest wish come true.

Actually, it was an amusing bit and Hanks played a great sport with showing how they were going to deal with long acceptance speeches this year!

1. I loved the entire show.....
...from the opening to the Crash upset !

Just wondering, was I the only one who "got" Ben Stiller's visual effects lampoon?

2. Stiller's bit was hilarious
I was watching with my daughter and she didn't get it until right before it ended.

3. I'm not sure if I get it
I mean, was he there trying to make a point that sometimes there's just way too much special effects in movies?

4. No, it was a sight gag
He was acting as if there were a "green screen" behind him, which is how they film most special effects; the actors stand in front of a bright green screen and the background effects are put in later.

The gag was that if he were in front of a green screen, you would have only seen his "disembodied head." He was acting as if that were the case.

I thought it was classic Stiller stuff, wacky and embarrassing.
