To be shallow for a moment - who looked the best and worst tonight?
My money is on Salma Hayek and Jake Gyllenhall for best looking. Both in their prime and perfectly dressed. Except Jake should have shaved.
Worst has to be Charlize Theron who failed to flick away a giant cockroach off her shoulder and Tim Burton, who must have styled his hair by sticking his hand in a light socket.

12. Somewhere I have a picture I took of Clooney during the filming of "Return
of the Killer Tomatoes" which was filmed in 1987, partially in my neighborhood. He wasn't nearly as famous then, he was just on TV, but he was apparently well enough known that someone announced his name. The cast assembled for a group picture and as a bystander I took one - I remember he had long curly hair then. I'll have to dig that up and post it, now that he's won an Oscar.

22. Her skin looked amazing, as always, but I wasn't crazy about her hair
I personally don't like that tight, pulled back and shellaqued look.

6. Naomi Watt's dress was a disaster
Edited on Mon Mar-06-06 01:15 AM by Julius Civitatus
She's such an incredibly beatiful woman, and she decides to put this on for the Oscars:

:wtf:

It was grotesque!

This is what people said about her dress so far:

- Is her skin peeling off?

- Is it really made out of used band-aids?

- Was her dress made with wet Charmin toilet paper?

- Did she have a thrist with King Kong before making it to the red carpet?

Seriously, what a horrible thing for such a gorgeous woman.

Most everyone looked good this year. Tim Burton looked bad and I'm assuming Peter Jackson did, too. He usually looks like he just woke up.

back on in time for the Oscars.

24. I agree. It wasn't one of her better choices.
both she and Charlize blew it tonite in the gown dept., imo.

Charlize's dress looked ridiculous, with that big black pillow-like bow thing on her shoulder.

Yuck-ola!!

I thought she looked great.

Charlize's big distracting thing of her shoulder was pretty bad, though.

25. Yes....very classy.
Makes you wonder what some of the other designers are thinking...like the one who did Charlize's dress. It wouldn't have been so bad if they had left that thing off the shoulder, though.

15. Charlize. My god, what was UP with that dress??!
it looked like a damn PILLOW.

Seriously.

I'm in total agreement with Salma as the best. First off, it looked like she'd actually EATEN in the last few days. Her dress color was gorgeous.

16. Don't laugh, but I thought J.Lo looked exquisite! Her gown was tasteful
and extremely flattering!

Clooney is a hottie.

And I will ALWAYS love Morgan Freeman. He could show up wearing duct tape and I could say nothing bad.

One of the blondes looked really good, as well. Had on a very nice, flattering gown. Just can't remember which one! She was one of the first presenters (maybe it was Nicole Kidman?)

28. Best: Keira Knightley. Worst: Michelle Williams. But I loved what Lily
Tomlin was wearing--it was unusual, but seemed very in tune with her zany personality.

All of the guys I saw looked great, but they all kind of blend together and I wasn't paying attention during the red-carpet hour before the ceremony started.
