26. The Oscars were all over the board tonight. Best picture winners seemed
shocked. Haven't seen it, but I will rent it.

25. It was well written and well edited
It basically dealt with racism & prejudice, especially the fact that we all deal with prejudice even when sometimes we tell people that we don't have any. Matt Dillon was great in the movie as the racist cop (Ryan Phillipe was his partner).

I think it's the only one of the five I've seen. It was good. I didn't think it had much of a chance.

24. way to blow it at the end, Academy
After a great show ... "Crash"? Good film, some stirring perfomances, but I found it manipulative and at times pretty shallow, weak, and self-congratulatory.

:( "Brokeback" was a far greater film ... heck, any of the other nominees was more deserving, IMO.

Well, congrats to any "Crash" fans out there. "Brokeback" still did well.

All in all, I think it was a pretty fine year for flicks.

27. looks like "Crash" crashed the Oscars. Quite the upset for the BB folk
but, I must admit, it was an outstanding movie and Ang Lee DID get Best Director, afterall.

:applause:, all around...
