Don't ya love discovering a new side of an old friend?
The other night my buddy and I ended up at my house around 3 AM.
This guy, is a total gearhead, when they came up with the term "Grease Monkey" they had him in mind. He's also a really smart guy. He loves engines, knows everything about every one ever made and is a professional heavy duty mechanic.
He also is a hockey goon (Meaning the guy who always fights).
So, there we are at three in the morning talking and he starts talking about Beethoven. Before I knew it, he was going off about Beethoven and how much he loves him. He knew all about the guy's life and the style of music he played, and was extremely excited when talking about how he wrote his music and what he was trying to accomplish.
I've never seen someone speak about Beethoven with such passion. But, he was the last person I was expecting it from.

1. Wow - what a neat story.
I'll bet you were flabbergasted. I agree with you - it is always wonderful to discover such things.
