"I'm proud to be out of touch" ...[we] gave an Oscar to a black woman
when blacks had to sit in the back of the movie theater.

Clooney's stock just went up 100% with me!

3. Hattie wasn't even allowed to attend the premiere of that movie
6) At the premiere of Gone with the Wind, held at Loew's Grand Theater in 1939, Hattie McDaniel -- who would later win an Oscar for her performance -- wasn't allowed to attend.

4. This year they need not fear making political speeches
With the little baby's approval rating at 35% they can spout off without fear of a backlash in the heartland.

Sarasota is having an Anti-War March 3-18 and this will be a great sign to carry because it will show that it WE who are REALLY IN TOUCH!

Thank you GEORGE.... Clooney, that is! To the other one... well use your imagination!

to attack the right. Engaging in conversation with them is for the most part useless. Statements like this go a long way in painting the difference between the good guys and the repukes. Smile, tell the truth, and ignore the bastards. They will then be forced to go after each other because their nature is to hate, and they are in constant need of a target.

12. I just voted for this post
Maybe a few others will, too?

Clooney's speech was dead on. I'd like to hear our Democratic politicians do as well, and more often.

13. I Love George Clooney
He doesn't make my hormones go "zing" the way that Viggo Mortensen or Ben Browder do, but I wouldn't throw him out of bed for leaving cookie crumbs. :D
