Seems some guy wants to ban the bratwurst eating contest at "Bratwurst Days," and Tucker Carlson talked about it while showing Sonya Thomas (who won last year BTW,) stuffing her face with bratwursts. :D

Clarence Mertz, 84, a former Sheboygan city attorney, is asking the city to abolish what he calls a "disgusting event" from the festival lineup, saying it promotes gluttony, food waste and an unhealthy lifestyle.

"It's gross," Mertz said. "This is a situation where you are saying to the young children that it's OK to overeat. In fact, we sponsor a contest to reward the person who overeats the most. Overeating is an epidemic among young children. They should be told overeating is bad for their health."

It's a festival, for crying out loud. I don't think anyone is suggesting to children that they eat large amounts of bratwurst every day.

But I tell every child I meet to stuff themselves on bratwurst as often and fully as possible. These festivals are a bad idea. I mean, look at St Patricks Day. Have you noticed now that EVERYONE is drunk, all the time? See what I mean? Give a few people an idea and BLAMMO.
