5. I am listening
and I am feeling sad.

I've had so many good times in New Orleans and Louisiana in gemeral and it makes me want to cry thinking that it may never be the same.

God (or the flying spaghetti monster, whichever you prefer) save New Orleans!

6. NOLA is a national treasure
So much history, culture, diversity. I know it will rise again -- just as it has before. But we can all help any way we can.

7. I agree...you have to dance through the tears...
I lived in New Orleans for a while and it still boggles my mind when I see the footage or talk to a couple friends still there about Katrina.

I'm going to be there for Jazz Fest (first weekend)!!! The city will come back. It's had hard times before and came back...

8. I hope you both are right
and I am trying to share your optimism, but its still hard.

I dread it turning into "NewOrleansland" if you know what I'm saying!
