I have an interview today. Good vibes and wishes?
I love working at Habitat, but right now I'm a temp. The hourly is not enough to live on and there are no benefits. It won't change unless they hire me (and that's an "if") until late May at the earliest. I paid $82 for a generic prescription for my daughter over the weekend. It was a one month's supply of a med she's had to take for the last 6 years. :(

The job is one I declined a second interview for nearly 2 years ago because the college I was working in was pressuring me to take a job there. It was a very, very bad choice. I feel now that I have a chance to go back and make a good decision for a change. I've got a list of questions to ask, as the position was new 2 years ago and now they've had time to see how it really works.

Wish me luck y'all. I need some stability in my life. I need benefits and the security of the state employees retirement system.

Thanks!

1. good luck!
Hope you get it.. I know the feeling about the meds.. I'm paying at least $100/mo for Vanco because of my c-diff. Its insane how they can charge that much.

4. If they almost hired you once you'll do well
But best wishes and good luck!

State jobs are the best out there!! My dad was a state employee in Pennsylvania. Can't go wrong with that!

6. Lynne
The position originally posted as temporary/part time as the individual in the position was out on leave. I contacted the VP at that time to inquire about the job and he remembered me. When it was official that the job was going to be permanent/full-time, he contacted me to let me know the change and encourged me to apply. I see this as nothing but good. :)

13. Go get 'em toots--and don't forget to
ASK for the job. If your afraid to do it boldly, ask "Is there anything that would prevent you from hiring me?" . Any hidden objections may come up then so you can defuse them.

21. small update
Interview went well. Seconds won't happen until around the 13th. I did a lot of digging and have some research to do. (For my own benefit and for the "impress them" factor)

This feels right. Please keep me in your thoughts.
