I just made 5 gallons of chili. Ask me anything.
Habitat for Humanity Chili Cook-Off tomorrow.
In the town park.
100% chance of rain and thunderstorms forecast.
:-(

If it rains, y'all can all come to my house for chili.
;-)

1. Ground or steak?
Beans in or on the side?

3. All venison.
1/2 steak and 1/2 ground.
Did the steaks on the grill and then chopped them into 1/2" cubes.
Beans in.
This is Alabama, not Texas.
'Cept the beans don't go in until tomorrow.

4. If you're gonna be near Foley, sure.
It's pretty spicey, but I may offer a bottle of habanero sauce for those who want to "kick it up a notch".

8. Well, age - and too many nights rocking back and forth on the can
waiting for the ice cream - has turned off my taste for super-hot chili. But I like some snap to it.

Good luck on the contest!

10. How about sharing the complete recipe?
This time of year up north, chili is a weekly necessity.

12. I ain't proud: Wick Fowler's 2 Alarm Chili Kit.
I made chili from scratch for years.
Then one of my Texas brothers-in-law gave me a packet of Wick Fowler's.
Ain't no sense in tryin' to gild the lily when another guy has you beat hands down.
Packet of spices, you add 2 lbs. of meat and a can of tomato sauce.
Unbeatable.

7. I fI had some would I say...
...

a} Thin, yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spices and peppers.

b) The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and garlic. Superb.

or

c) My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous,

sulphuric flames. I pooped on myself when I farted and I'm worried it

will eat through the chair! No one seems inclined to stand behind me

anymore. I need to wipe my butt with a snow cone.

??

14. That's awesome.
Making chili for a good cause, not the chance of rain.

I hope the rain holds off and you get to share really good chili with lots of people.

16. Beans. Cayenne & chili powder, no jalapenos. Not quite
THAT hot.
But it certainly has some "authority".
Habanero sauce on the side.
