Okay, who heard Leno mock our cute gold medalist snowboarder
Edited on Fri Feb-24-06 02:04 AM by henslee
when she mentioned she used Yoga to get better? It was rude... and easy to miss. Is that what happens when you do the same thing day in, day out... you just lose all perspective on how to behave?

1. I didn't
I might have missed it. I have it on now. That girl is adorable, I was happy for her when she won. Leno can be a crass asshole sometimes. I don't mind him as much as some people do around here, but Letterman is definitely my favorite in that time slot.

2. That girl is adorable. So natural. I think if more girls got into sports
instead of guys and myspace, they'd be better off. I know my sisters weren't pushed into sports growing up. I guess its different now.

3. I identified with her too
I was so proud that she overcame a blown out knee to win the gold. I blew my knee out playing sports when I was younger. Tough to come back from. I was pulling for her all the way. That whole event was great. The girls in that were so fun to watch. They were all supportive of each other, the crowd went nuts for each competitor. It was really enjoyable.

Some women are pushed into sports. I think there is just more opportunity for it now. I think anybody can benefit from the discipline sports provide. It has to be fun though. Most people don't handle getting pushed very well. They tend to rebel against it when they get the chance. It has to be both rewarding and enriching, not just a bunch of hard work. I like certain women's sports. You have to appreciate greatness when you see it. I'm a big fan of that.

4. Oy, I can't stand Leno...
... but my roommate is his #1 fan. Never misses a show. In fact, I think he's watching Leno right now...

... that's him laughing in the background. Yeesh, where are my earmuffs...

5. Just aired on the west coast
I didn't think it was that bad. He's a comedian (not a great one, IMO) but he did nothing more than he wouldn't have done to any other guest. The audience laughed, she laughed. No big deal.

I hardly ever watch Leno. The only reason I'm watching him now is because of the Olympics and to see Ross the Intern and Tom Green do their thing. I'm sure Tom Green could launch an entirely different debate but he cracks me up.

After the Olympics, I will go back to watching Letterman and then switching over to Conan if I'm really staying up late.
