Sign up here for Halliburton Hotel roommates
It looks like the domestic detention camps are a go. In the interest of helping things to run smoothly, I propose we sign up now for roommate preferences, so they have time to get it all in a database ahead of time. That way, we can help them to help us - everyone benefits!

I'll start:

I'd like a nonsmoking roommate(s). I tend to be a little sloppy - I might throw my dirty orange jumpsuits on the floor instead of in the hamper, so no neat freaks please. I don't feel comfortable singing in public, so if you want to partake in the occasional protest song to pass the time, that's fine, but don't expect me to join in.

3. That shouldn't be a problem at all
I have a hunch they call it "whipping" creme there. Whippings of any sort will be doled out generously.

2. I'll volunteer in the kitchen.
I'm a really good cook, even with stuff that doesn't seem like it would make a good meal. (Volunteered for a bit cooking in a soup kitchen, you pick up a knack.)

I'm flexible on the roommate situation as long as you like cats. I'm not leaving mine behind.

I definitely do not want my chef asking if I like cats.

5. If Halliburton is stocking the pantry
You'll be even less comfortable with what's on the menu. :o

I can probably make it palatabe, but I'll kindly not tell you what's in it.

6. Alrighty, then
"Don't ask, don't tell" is probably a sensible policy in this context.
