RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- David Noel never doubted himself or his teammates. Who cares if North Carolina lost its top seven scorers from last season's national championship team?

"We know what we lost, and we know what we have," Noel said. "I knew the caliber of players we had left on this team."

He and the Tar Heels are making believers out of everyone, particularly North Carolina State (No. 14 ESPN/USA Today; No. 15 AP).

Noel had a career-high 25 points and added 11 rebounds, Reyshawn Terry scored 20 points and No. 21 North Carolina beat the Wolfpack 95-71 Wednesday night to hand N.C. State its first home loss in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

1. Ha! We didn't even show up for the game - they were pitiful.

Every loose ball, every rebound, where was our fucking defense?!?! - and then crappy ass shooting all night.

This was the worst game they played all season (except maybe that Iowa one)

Absolutely atrocious.

I've tried really hard to like Sendek (I hated him for a while), but he just doesn't seem like the coach to kick us up a notch.

So congrats for outplaying us at every facet of the game.

2. It's so friggin hard to recruit in that state.

When you've got to fight with UNC, Duke, and Wake Forest, that's not exactly fun. They need to make a splash with a big-name coaching hire if they want to get over the hump.

3. I see a major coaching failure in Sendek

Look at the Duke and the first UNC game this year. Both on the road - both tied or with State leading with 3-5 minutes to go. BOTH teams run off 14-18 (I can't remember exactly how many) unanswered points to end the game. That is just not having the designed plays to stop a run and score a bucket. Yeah, we've had a bunch of close wins lately, but it seems that is more due to the diligence of the players - not the coach's design late in the game.
