21. I was a victim of a sociopath

I was shot (many years ago) while driving my car in a Pittsburgh neighborhood. I didn't realize what had happened (the sound of the bullet striking my window) until I felt moisture on my face and saw that it was blood.

I did a police report, but the cop was TOTALLY uninterested in what had happened to me, which was pretty spooky.

I do not forgive the shooter, but maybe I'm just a tough nut.

24. It was paintball but it still hurt

I was pinned down behind a bush with a jammed paintball gun. Bad guys were slowly advancing on me so I would stick the usless gun through the bush and out the other side. I could hear them shout "get down" and "take cover." Then I would continue working on clearing my gun. Eventually one of the times I was sticking my gun through the bush, one of the bad guys got one in on me. I was wearing goggles but it hit me square below the lip. Tasted like crap.
