I think borrowing words from other languages is not apropos....
...and sometimes is even a faux pas. It can be mistaken as an action to separate yourself from the bourgeoisie. This actually can be construed as gauche in many social circles.

However, this modus operandi can be used in leiu of actual words from the english language that fit the meaning that you are trying to convey.

Pros or cons?

1. I would say rather it is the bête noire of the pop culture we live in,
with it's laissez-faire use of slang that we should bemoan.
