Anyone else live with chronic financial stress?
Ever since I was laid off in 2001 I have not had a permanent job- just contract work with stretches of unemployment in between assignments. My finances have never been in good shape- and just when I think I am making progress, something happens - like a car problem or a dental problem or a sick dog - and I am under the pile again.

Before Bush got in I was continuously employed, and while I had problems from time to time, it wasn't a way of life. I am in a contract to hire situation now at a good job, but even so, its gonna be a long time before I am debt free. There are so many things I need but can't afford.

I hate living like this. I hate Bush.

1. Yeah, I think it's common for a lot of people...
We've felt like we were in financial stress since we married over 18 years ago. We've felt like just when we were getting our feet under us, something comes along and seems to wipe it out any stability we thought we had.

I don't blame it all on bush, though. Shit happens. That's life.

Willie Nelson said it right...'there is no such thing as financial security'.

2. Yup
Had to file bankruptcy last year because of it and we're getting buried under my medical bills again. Sucks, don't it? :-(

3. Same boat.
But I might have just hooked up with something good. Waiting to hear back from my latest interview. If it doesn't work I will need a life preserver.
