My local rock station is playing Nirvana's "About A Girl".
This is the first time I have ever heard a radio station play that song.

This station is NOT owned by Clear Channel. That probably explains a lot.

2. Agreed.
Although a lot of people were sad to see the 2nd local rock station (which was owned by CC) be converted to country, because they actually played a lot of obscure songs. They even had a half-hour every night devoted to the old Seattle Grunge scene. They played stuff from bands like Mudhoney, Tad and Screaming Trees. I actually liked that station better.
