Does anyone know anything about BMI airlines?

My son's looking into flying them to Europe this summer.. Are they a charter airline??Anyone every fly on a BMI plane?

He's going to world cup and looking for a less expensive flight than what he's found so far..

he's familiar with Europe and is staying with friends in germany....does not need lodging so the flight is his only real expense

1. British Midland?

Not really familiar, but they used to be the only connection to the Caribbean from Europe.

2. I think I've flown with them once

They're OK - a scheduled airline, whose routes are mainly from Britain to the rest of Europe, I think. A smaller airline that's building up its size - but they're not the 'no frills, minimal customer service' type.
