I'm goin to bed, but my ambien induced racing brain obsession just came up with this. So please, if you don't mind can you answer this?

Why do our noses have two nostrils? What's the fuckin point? If we removed the cartilage inbetween the nostrils and made just one bigger nostril, wouldn't it be more effective for air intake? Wouldn't people snore less? Why did we evolve with two nostrils? What's the point? Why do all animals with noses have two nostrils also? Curious, isn't it?

I want to wake up tomorrow and see some replies to this :)

in the nasal cavity. This aids in filtering and warming the air breathed in through the nose. The warmer and more highly filtered, the better.
