I asked for a raise today.

I've been thinking about what I could do to make ends meet. Sell stuff on ebay... get a second job... start dropping things like my guitar lesson... when it occured to me that maybe I could ask for a raise at work.

I didn't go in and demand anything, just asked if there was anything I could do to be making more at work. The boss said "Let me think about it" and talked about adding to my responsibilities. Like I told him, I reckoned the worst he could do to me was say "no".

I'm kinda proud of myself for even asking.

I'm forcing myself to wait and see what happens, but part of me wants to count the money already.

It's just so not like me to go and ask. I was getting a gut ache just thinking about it.

Maybe I need to learn to meditiate. My therapist seems to think so. Gotta stay in the moment and stop worrying about shit. But it's hard.
