Fig Newtons and fake chocolate pudding. mmmmmmmmmm

I like figs. Once in South Carolina the owner/Captain of the shrimp trawler I was striking on granted me free access to the fig tree growing in his back yard. The figs were over ripe and dripping with sweet goodness.

As I was picking the delicious fruit I felt one of the figs wiggle in my hand.

On closer inspection I saw that I had picked a fruit bat.
