Two of the BEST Black History Month shows ever....PBS and BET
I had my recorder ready and am I glad. PBS had a stunning show on African American Lives in which 8 famous African Americans...Oprah and Dr. Ben Carson among them... had their roots traced back to before the Civil War. Absolutely amazing program. Then on the lighter side BET had a comedy segment that ripped my sides open..."The 25 Most F****ed Moment in Black History" Oh, if only we all could looked at our mistakes and learn and then be able to laugh through the paid like African Americans have always been able to do. That show was hilarious...Jon Stewart would have been spliltting his sides.
I am looking forward to watching (I'll record if it coincides with my favorite regular shows) as many of the black history presentations as possible. Hats off to PBS for their programming schedule. It's a proud moment in public broadcasting in my opinion.
