Hearing more lies.

Seeing that arrogant smirk.

Listening to him fumble for words to back up his mistakes.

 :puke: :wtf: :argh: :grr:  :banghead:

6. That's the ONLY way I could listen to it.
I listened last year when Sam and Jeanene were doing commentary in real time during the speech. Somoe of their comments were hysterically funny, and other times they immediately jumped on the lies coming out of Smirky's mouth. Made it tolerable to listen to.

This amateur dog and pony show is on the skids and it's like I have a sickly morbid curiosity like slowing down to look at a bad wreak.

8. I've never watched the SOTU
even when Clinton was president. I just never saw the point. Even though it's constitutionally mandated, it's basically just a commercial for how great your government is doing.

Surely you have better things to do with your time. Shampoo your hair, mate socks, something important like that. It's better for your blood pressure.

12. The part that galls me the most
is all the asspoles who applaud every time * strings together three words in the right order without blowing up the building. I could almost stomach the cavalcade of lies if I didn't have to also listen to people acting like he said something that wouldn't make all rational humans do the bullshit cough.

Anyway, I'm afraid the neighbors might call the cops if they hear me hollering "FUCK YOU, YOU LYING SACK OF SHIT!" over and over one more time.

16. I get so angry
Watching this smug, arrogant, lying, hypocritical, corrupt person we have as president. The facial twitches, lip licking, and jaw snaps make it worse.

Then there are the mispronounced words...the broken sentences...

But what really takes me over the edge is when he wiggles his eyebrows around. ARGH!

I will be in a bad mood for days, but I want to know what the POS says. And I want the Democrats to call him a liar in their response, but I hear we have a lightweight doing the deed, and after today's showing I have little confidence that the Dems know what they really need to do.

Edited on Mon Jan-30-06 10:53 PM by ocelot
The one I have might not survive the evening (or at least it might end up all covered with food), and I don't want to scare the cats with all that yelling and the flying objects bouncing off of or breaking the TV. And fortunately I don't have a parrot -- it would spend the rest of its life squawking things like "Bite me! Fuckknob! Asswipe!" And then I'd never be able to have guests.

So I won't be watching the State of the Union address; besides, I already know what kind of state we are in.

Tomorrow represents a major turning point in American history, from democracy to fascism. I'm not going to watch that crap either.

27. If you can - watch / listen to it this way
Log in to the internet...Open internet explorer and go to DU...then open another and listen to Air America Live... Last year, Janeane Garofalo gave play by play commentary and almost lost it when the Dems stated booing. You can hear the speech with the Air America commentary. If your TV is in the same room, turn it on and place it on mute. I hope AAR is doing the same thing again this year.

After the speech, come back to DU and check the activist forum for any links to media to vote in online polls throughout the nation.

28. Here's some of your alternatives...9PM ET
Edited on Tue Jan-31-06 02:53 AM by carpetbagger
UPN- Veronica Mars rerun
WB- Supernatural
Univision- Alborada (TV guide says "En esta novela...dos hombres se enamoran de la misma mujer", sounds like typical fare)
A&E- Dog the Bounty Hunter (hey, at least the criminals get caught)
Animal Planet- Top ten grumpy animals
FMC- Big Trouble in Little China (starts at 8)
ESPN- Georgetown vs. Depaul (starts 830)
HBO- Oceans Twelve (starts at 8)
TV Land- Andy Griffith (9) and Sanford and Son (930)

Now you have no excuses.

If I'm home from work, I think I'll catch some Sanford and Son myself.
