6. they used to use that in car commercials where i used to live

it was in Norman (of all places) Oklahoma, and they have a row of car dealerships along the interstate that they call "the mile of cars." They would put ads on TV and the radio using that song, the part you've transcribed, but in place of "norman, my love" they would sing "on the mile of cars." They were horribly annoying commercials, but the song was catchy :)
