12. Never say die.
Unfortunately, too many democrats in the senate are not standing up for sacred principles with which I agree.

Alito never heard of an individual Constitutional right that he is willing to protect.

This is serious and I am disappointed.

16. I have no idea what you are trying to say.
Constitutional protections of individual liberties are sacred; then, now and forever.

That is all.

every lofty, poetic, known concept i.e., freedom, liberty, democracy, liberal, defense, family values, religion, society, capitalism, civil republic; these are not my ventures, my endeavors, they are the; not 'inalienable', but undeniable ventures of they, and written onto the contemporaneous headlines of newspapers round the world and yet...your argument is somehow with me. this is our essential foible imo

10. It could happen!
We have a lot of people working hard over in GD:Alito to maybe make sure it does happen. We still need a lot more support by the DEM senators to make it happen but it's still a possibility.

Instead of right after the 2004 election, when there were all the reports of irregularities in Ohio. :sarcasm:

Too little, too late, Senator. The fat lady has not only sung, but she's left the building.

24. I don't know what's gonna happen
But I do know this.... there is no such thing as an inalienable right - only the rights we fight for. And this might be the time to fight.....

Maybe if the Dems get enough input they'll grow a freakin' backbone. For once.

Khash.

28. Hey Bridgit, baby!
I'm serious about the Dems needing a backbone, though.

Can any Coloradans help here? The governor who invited all the Japanese internment victims to relocate to Colorado? I forget his name - I am so stupid. Remind me, kids?

Basically, he committed political suicide. But he aslo said, paraphrased, "It's better to do the right thing than to get re-elected". Maybe that's something our elected leaders should think about, eh?

Many Japanese-Americans did relocate afterwards. And there is a statue in his honour in Colorado - erected by them (As far as I know. That's what I learned).

But if he really said that - we should all learn from him. There are a lot of Dems standing up and a lot covering their butts. I'm very disappointed. This is odd - I'm a Libertarian, always vote Dem, but am a registered Republican. (There are good reasons for all of that....) But I am disappointed in our current Dems - not all, there are some real standouts. But I'm disappointed in many cases.

 Bridgit.
Sorry, I just needed a moment to rant :)

Khash.
