ladies ...Pat Robertson now in your uterus...1-800-759-0700
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Four pharmacists who refused to sign a pledge promising to dispense the morning-after birth-control pill sued Walgreen drug stores Friday, alleging they were illegally fired.

The lawsuits accuse Walgreen Co. of violating the Illinois Health Care Right of Conscience Act. The pharmacists were being represented by the American Center for Law and Justice, a public-interest group founded by evangelist Pat Robertson.

1. You know, I'm a vegetarian...

When I was a waitress, I guess I should have been able to refuse to serve patrons who ordered meat. And then when I got fired for NOT DOING MY JOB, I guess I could have sued. Or, maybe I could have just refused to serve patrons who ordered meat but not dairy products. Or maybe just veal, since veal calves endure (arguably) the most abuse.

What makes them think they have a "right" to inject their religion and "values" into their job? Last I checked, pharmacists were NOT physicians, and if a physician writes a prescription for a patient they have no right to decide if it is right or wrong.

Wonder if this rather robust looking gentleman also refused to hand out Viagra. :eyes:

7. Well, if it's not life threatening
Your doctor could refuse to remove your baby making parts based on his own objections.

I'm glad I had a hysterectomy three years ago! (It was medically necessary, but I'd been begging for one for years because of the hell I went through because of it!)

8. Just wait.
The fetus lovers will be coming after that too. Can't have these women having hysterectomies. I mean some women have a greater sex drive after that happens. And sex without any intent of procreation, well you know where that leads. :sarcasm:

11. Really? A greater sex drive?
Well, that's the last thing I need. I don't have any outlet for what I got now.

13. I've talked to some women who said
that after their operation it was like getting a turbocharged libido. Some were worried that it would dull their sensitivity when in fact it was increased quite a bit.

14. I had one at the age of 27 AND i do not have a turbocharged
libido...

in fact, I would rather sleep...

of course maybe it is because I Have to get up at 6 and don't usually get to bed until after 1 am and have laundry, dishes, dinner, grading papers, ect...

16. Yes sleep deprivation is a killer.
I know it's easy for me to say that you need more sleep. Lifestyle changes are so hard to make. Just like my relationship with food.

10. These 'things' should be fired on the spot, and banned from
working pharmacy jobs forever.

12. I'm sure that these "things" will claim religious persecution.
I'd be willing to bet that if Alito gets on the SCOTUS they'll hear the case if it's pushed that far. These pharmacists should be prosecuted for practicing medicine without a medical license. What they think they're doctors now? The AMA should get medieval on their ass.

Curled up in a fetal state humming kum ba ya. Btw since when can a pharmacist over rule a doctor's order or the states laws? Me thinks that these pharmacist for should get a life and a new profession.
