I stepped on a piece of glass this morning...

since we are sharing pain stories. I was walking out to the garage, barefoot(idiot me) and thought I stepped on a pebble. So you know how when you step on a pebble, and you just keep stepping down because it's little and round and won't hurt anyway? (okay well that's what I do) Well it wasn't a pebble. It was a little piece of cube shaped glass with a pointy top and it was sticking right out of the middle of the ball of my foot. You know, where you need to be pain free to be able to walk like a normal person? Man it bled like a stuck pig. Blood all through the house, my son crying, me about to pass out. It was awful.

Then on to a baby shower. Have to wear heels because they go with the dress, and i only dress up once a year so I make the most of it. You know how when you step on glass, and can't walk, and high heels shove everything forward, so all of you weight is on the ball of the foot that hurts really bad so you are hobbling like a three legged horse?

To top it off, I walk into the shower. (at Logan's steakhouse, which is really nice). I see my pregnant friend,go to hug her, have purse swing across table like a wrecking ball and knock glass of water onto her tummy. At least we had fun with the water breaking jokes.

Suffice to say, it was MrsGrumpy's horrible, rotten, very bad day. It's good to be back here, where it's safe...I think.

On the upside...We got high speed internet today...woohoo..can post faster now. Downside, our home page at comcast keeps blinking and I cannot access it. But who really cares, I've got DU, only faster.

2. Me too, I did a lot of sitting around at the shower.

I don't wear them usually because, honestly it's very hard to find size 10 heels that don't look like boats.

7. I bit down on a piece of glass...

... just two days ago. It was inside a can of salmon. Fortunately, the part that I spit out was 1/4th inch long and rounded with no sharp edges, no visible bleeding. I don't think I swallowed anything (not certain). I had mild abdominal cramps yesterday, and am feeling fine today.
