i'l be honest with y'all -- most of the political views here are wwwwway right of where i stand -- fortunately, bein a libra, i am very much into mediation nd determination of common ground.

as an intro: my pov changes continuously -- i should hope everyone's does. in my experience, those who are absolutely SURE they are right usually end up being wrong.

if i ever say something offeensive to anyone, point it out. frequently, what is attributed to malice would be better suited attributed to stupidity.

to someone in charge : i reeeeally want a turtle as my pic. can i pleeeeze have a turtle as my pic? how many posts before i can have a turtle as my pic?

Personally, I'm glad to see more real leftists on the board. The spectrum of opinion is good. And the mods do a good job of allowing exchanges but discouraging flame wars.

I'm more of an economic centrist myself (MBA, business mangement job). But I love and am inspired by Chomsky, Zinn, Debs, Keller. I follow the World Socialist Website. A lot the social progress in this country has come about because of the populists, the anarchists, the Wobblies, and others on the far left, even when it's not acknowledged.

But I know nothing of turtles or avatars.
