'KAZUKO' A love story
She brings me fresh water
In her portable vessel
And kisses it from
Her mouth to mine.

Her hands soft, tender, gentle caressing
Nurse me and heals all my wounds
And hand in hand my heart beating stronger
We wander her Nipponese lands.

In my dream I am gulping down great quantities of cool, fresh, sweet water. I take in more and more water. I cannot get enough. I wake up confused. I am burning up with fever soaking wet with sweat. It is then that Kazuko brings me another mouth full of water and kisses it from her mouth to mine. And like a baby bird thirsty I lay there with mouth held wide open waiting and wanting for more.

With cold wet clothes she removes the sweat from my body the damp cooling me too. Then naked she lays there beside me her hands soft, tender, gentle caressing. She holds me close breathing softly. I sleep. Hours later I wake refreshed.

One day in Kamakura I see for the first time the Great Bronze Buddha. Kazuko is standing in front of the Buddha her hands held in the same position Christians do. Her head too is slightly bowed in reference. Kazuko is Shinto but surly it does no harm to honor and pray to many Gods. Inside the Buddha the walls are covered with Japanese graffiti.

In the surrounding countryside there are other Gods and Shrines. We visit several of them. One is a tall wood carving covered with gold. It is the Goddess of Love. We linger in front of her.

In a secluded Japanese garden is a tiny building where near the end of our day's journey we sip a sacred tea. It is a place of special significance Kazuko tells me. To me it is just a quiet place in a small forest made wonderful because I am with Kazuko.
The tea is hot, sweet and delicious.

1. Sweet story, 180.
Did you write it?? Based on real life?? In any case, thanks for sharing.

I am very fortunate to have a 3 ft high, gorgeous solid rose quartz statue of the goddess Kwan Yin in our home, on our family altar. :loveya: She's been in our family for almost 100 yrs.... She is the goddess of Love and Compassion.

:hi:

7. Kwan Yin is the most popular goddess of the eastern world.
She represents the qualities of Compassion, Love, Tenderness and Nurturing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guan_Yin\
there are many spellings of her name, across the different asian cultures, but her essence is the same.

...the part of your story where you were both standing in front of "the goddess of Love" made me think of Kwan Yin.

That's cool that you're a writer. Thanks again for sharing.

8. At the time I had a 'brownie'camera
I had to take a top picture and a bottom picture of the Goddess. I still have those pictures. Over the years I lost most of my pictures. Kazuko and her father gave me a very old tea set when I left Japan. It too has gone one piece at a time.

sigh
