So I got a puppy today

Springer/Golden Retriever mix.

Looks like a springer with big brown and white spots.

Free.

6 weeks old.

Male.

Named him Bailey.

He's mostly gotten along with our older dog except for one little incident which resulted in a big time out for both dogs, 'cause we figured they were both very tired.

So far he's a big snuggler and he's been a perfect angel. :loveya:

He's totally sacked out in the sky kennel right now. When we put him in it earlier we thought we'd give him 10 minutes of crying and if he was still crying we'd let him out. He stopped after like, 3. When I went in later to let him out he was totally asleep. He woke up and looked at me when I opened the door and went back to sleep. The kennel's on the floor of my room, the door is still open, and he's still in there sleeping, and it's been 4 hours. :shrug:

11. Actually, so I don't sound like a total jerk

The first time we put him in the kennel he cried and we let him out. Then we decided that that was a one way ticket to BAD HABITS so the next time we put him in we studiously ignored him. Turned on Prairie Home. :D

15. Awwwww, the only thing that can even come close to a kitten thread, is

a puppy thread. One day I want to get one similar to what you describe too. I hope to visit the animal shelter when that time comes. I love kittens and puppies. Awwwww, I hope you will post pictures soon.
