Dell Laptop won't connect with wireless internet
any suggestions?

1. If you have a home network, unplug everything
including the modem and router, and leave everything off for a few minutes. Then plug the computers back in, then the modem and router. This has worked for me. Sometimes things just need to be "reset" periodically.

Is it connecting through a Router, Wireless Cable Modem, WAP, etc.?

Mine I can turn on an off with hitting F2 & Fn at the same time.

5. when you open up the wireless-network box...
(by double clicking the little icon in your task bar)
does it say, "cannot find any networks, wireless switch may be off"?

if so, look on your keyboard for a key with a little radio tower symbol on it. If the symbol is blue, hold the "fn" key and hit that button. Once.

7. Does it need an external antennae? Sometimes the internal ones that come
with aren't strong enough.
