7. I love infomercials.

My favorite part is when they show the "life without the product" segments.

For instance, I saw one for some fancy specialized spaghetti noodle strainer. They showed a clip of a woman trying to pour the noodles from the pot into one of those regular old "bad" strainers, in the sink, and the noodles went all over the counter, spilling onto the floor. Sure...

Another was for a "painting ladder." Turned out to be a standard step-ladder. But...they showed a clip of someone trying to paint a ceiling without the fancy specialized "painting ladder" and the person had paint dripping on their hair. Uh huh.

Who are the dumbasses that do things like this? The same ones who buy this shit, I guess.

And don't you love the price reductions? "Regularly priced at $279.00 but now you can have it for $19.99! And don't forget, for every "coffee spoon" you buy, we'll throw in a handy marvelous "pocket-sized stapler" and a "blow-up easy chair"--free!--a $90 value!"

9. Saw those doggy steps on TV tonight

and thought...wait a minute! Those could be built for less than the $39.99 they're being sold for....no duh!

And as for me, when I do live in a plce where I can have a dog again (am looking to buy really soon :) ) am not really into having my dog on my furniture. Doggy beds...good "invention".

Some dog species, like weiner dogs, have sensitive backs...these steps DO help, believe it or not.

I think a well placed step stool would solve the problem.

That is if one wanted their dogs up on the beds and furniture. (I am not a dog person).

You know, the kind of cart they sell to older adults so they can be more "mobile"... and 6 months after they start using it their body falls apart.

14. I had to do something similar for one of my bearded dragons.

I have two bearded dragons. One was attacked by a sibling before I got him and so he's missing his front left leg and half of his front right toes. He has a really hard time climbing the branches to bask.

Well, I took care of it MacGuyver style and made a basking platform he could really use with...

1 old cheap cardboard cat scratching post that leads up to...
an old small wooden cutting board that is held up by...
two bricks I found in my garage.

It works great and he seems happier now that he can get around like the non-crippled bearded dragon.

15. You know what...

Our little beagle cannot jump up on our bed...so we bought a little ottoman to put next to it...but I have to admit had I seen this before I got the ottoman, I would have bought it...
