How can I shut down the jmowreader Nature Preserve?

This morning I went downstairs to feed my tomcat Kenny. I found a bird in there with him.

A live bird. Looks like a sparrow. Flying around, perching on my drums, just having him a good old time.

I have no idea how it got in here--I'm working on the downstairs, so some of the drywall is down, but there doesn't seem to be a hole large enough for a bird to squeeze through. There are three windows, none open. Anyway, this thing is in here. I tried opening the sliding glass door and shooing it out, but it keeps ignoring the open door and just landing on the moulding above it.

I could just wait until Kenny remembers he's a predator and let nature take its course, but that would be a bit messy. Any ideas on how to get this bird out of my house?

I re-opened the door and backed up a ways. He flew out.

In time the cat will finish eating and the bird will grab a few bites or become a few bites. Either way, the bird will be gone soon.
