No, this aint Life Magazine or National Geographic....but DU has some remarkable photographers. In the link below are the top three vote getters in each of the Contests/Challenges held during 2005. By no means does it represent "all the best", just the big vote getters.

27. No, not infrared

Last January in West Virginia we had a storm that produced an incredable hoar frost (a thick coating of frost/snow on everything, down to the smallest twig). The next morning we had a deep blue sky, that's why the background is so dark. The frost against the dark sky does give it an infrared look though.

There were some FABULOUS pics - hell, they were all great!

I always try to catch each month's pics, but some I missed and they surprised me
with how beautiful they were. Totally amazing, and I am in awe because I am so bad
