Not just yet - this is only a short break - we've got a plane to catch early tomorrow afternoon; and house and critters still to get ready for the critter sitter to come in while we're gone.
The kidlet is seriously dragging her feet about the whole thing; so we had to do all her "chores" as well the rest of them. At least she got herself packed - but she required some serious adult supervision during the packing event; went out of her way to call us in and make us pay attention to her. (Guess she wanted it to be like a "family time" game - halt everything for an hour and a half or so and watch the kidlet pack...) I'm not used to it. When it's just me, or me and hubby, it only takes a few hours to get the cages cleaned, garbage tossed, dishes cleaned and put up, house put away, critter food put out, litter box moved to the frontroom and care/feeding instructions posted on the wall for the sitter, lists made, and cases packed. Looks as if the next time we do this, we start a couple days in advance.
Heck with it. There's about two more hours of work to do, but at least the worst is done - the cages cleaned and set up for "long term self-care"; we're tired and have to get up early to get the dog to the kennel and a spare key for the sitter to get in made to replace the one the kidlet lost in her cave. I still have to get up at what would be normal "go to work" time. Bleah.
Night all...
