OMG I went to a casino last night and I went out of control!!!!
I have been a non gambler and my husband likes to gamble moderately. I learned a few things about myself: I should probably never enter a casino again and if I do I should leave my bank card at home. This is such surprising behavior for me, I'm totally disgusted with myself.

I fear that I would do the same, given the opportunity.

2. It is addicting, but a ton o' fun..
Don't feel bad. We have entire cities built upon the ability to lose the electric bill with one bad decision. Luckily, we only have Video Poker around here. And, I have made more then I lost with that. All of those econ and accounting classes might have come in handy.

3. I may be the only person who ever spent five days in Las Vegas
(was there doing a trade show) without gambling so much as a quarter.

I simply do not understand how it can be pleasurable.

(I don't dance, either, lacking an understanding of the pleasure that people derive from it, so maybe it's just me after all.)

7. I go to Vegas, but I'm an absolutely terrible gambler
I'm more of a drinker, and that's why I love Vegas - cheapest booze in the country.

And I would never, EVER, EVER advocate drinking and gambling simultaneously.

10. I don't see how it is fun either
I was in Biloxi in 2004 and went to the Beau Rivage. I blew $20 on the slots. I felt just sick and it was boring too.

5. i'm a believer in cash only
don't play on any kind of markers and certainly don't use a bank card, don't they have an awful fee to use those things at casinos, at least casino credit is free, not that i think you should apply for casino credit either

better luck next time

8. Don't be disgusted with yourself
It's easy to get caught up in it and that's what the casino owners count on.

You aren't any different than many of us who want to win our money back or who want more winnings. Just write it off as a "good time" and don't dwell on it. You are normal..LOL.

9. Well, I'm sorry it happened. On the positive side, you did make an
impression on yourself.

As a former casino security guard and bartender, I watched it for way too many years. It happens to every type of person, so don't be too hard on yourself. just remember it the next time you go.

Moderation is the key.
