Thank goodness my dog is eating!
He's been ignoring his food since Friday night, for no particular reason. Tonight he decided to eat. He's an old guy (13) so I worry.

1. Yay!
:applause:

I know what you mean. It's scary when they don't want to eat.

2. Has he been dining out?
Our neighbors were worried about their dog a couple weeks back until they learned she'd been visiting us and had had leftover catfood, scrambled eggs, and a ham sandwich.

3. Not that I know of.
And we do spend most of the day together. He's never been the type of dog who eats everything he possibly can (like most dogs). I honestly think he skips a meal on purpose every now and then just to keep trim. He's got arthritis, so extra weight would not be a good thing. But he seems to have a really finely tuned sense of maintaining a good lean weight for himself. I wish I did!

4. My 13 yr old dog does the same thing sometimes... and I get worried too..
I find that frying some eggs up right in front of her gets her excited. And of course I feed them to her. She little change of diet. If your guy has arthritis -- ever try giving your pooch buffered/maalox coated aspirin? Talk w/ vet first but out of all the treatments for arthritis -- this hooked her up the best.
