Just kidding of course, just wanted you to look. My house is starting to look like an Ansel Adams gallery. Love the photographs and have been a fan for years.

5. Hey Heidi....
Thanks for the link, very nice pics. I have probably 20 Ansel Adams pictures hanging throughout our house. My pride and joy though are signed first editions of a couple of his books.

Hope you are well Heidi!!!! :toast:

9. Feb 9th......
Though I don't think that my wife is going to make it that long. He has already "dropped" and is in "position" for the big day. We organized aquaspawn's room today. Thanks for asking.

He also became a great photographer.

8. Hi Ms. Peggy ....
If you really want an original check out eBay. I can't afford the prices but they are available.

But I doubt that I could afford them either! *sigh*

Good luck, BTW, with the baby!

11. Thanks for the good luck wishes....
I may be asking you for some advice. You would think that at my age, 33, I would be ready for this experience. However, I am real nervous. I am a therapist and only work with kids, but damn it's different when it's your own. Don't want to mess up. One thing is for sure; this child will be exposed to lots of music and Ansel Adams.

Is your wife going to breastfeed? I do hope so....it is the best thing for both of them....

She was not at first but the doctor talked her into it. Oh, by the way the name is going to be, Drake Nicholas, last name not given in public of course.

17. That's good! The name and the willingness to nurse your son!
There are a number of good books out on breastfeeding....

My bible was called "Nursing Your Baby" and the author is Karen Pryor.

There is an updated edition .....I found that the chapter on the differences between human milk and formula made the difference for me...

After I read that one, I decided it would be a crime not to nurse my child....

And I am SO GLAD I did.....

She will need your support. Many new mothers try to do waaay too much after the child gets here. They need to rest, and take care of only themselves and the child. Someone else needs to take care of the rest!

And that is for the first few weeks, or month. After the milk gets established then a return to more activity for the mom is possible.

This is very important if she is going to succeed at nursing!

18. Thanks for the advice.....
I am taking a month off from work after the child is born to be there, I think that it is important. I will not be one of those sitting in the den talking about football kinda fathers.

14. I enjoy Adams' work as well
Particularly his photos of the Southwest, as I have a fetish for anything Southwestern.

And I wouldn't have been too brokenhearted if he'd turned out to be Republican. They weren't quite as vile back in the day as they are now.

That is insane, I don't know if I could have resist the temptation to show up on his porch. Have you seen the documentary on PBS about Ansel. Amazing it is, I have it on DVD.

20. Probably
Did it show him making a test strip on a 16x20 sheet, then ripping it in half and sticking one half in the microwave?
