I missed you DUers! I was stuck at a party with rightwingers!
They all believe Booosh is a man of peace.

And they enjoy watching Faux News!

And, for the most part, they were as well-informed about what is going in the world as my pet rock!

Am I being snobbish?

I have nothing in common with these Booshbots.

I've been polite for two hours; I'm at my limit!

1. Just drink.
Then drink. Then drink again. Then when you've had enough, drink some more.

That's the only cure.

3. Actually, that was plan!
I'm on my second beer (and that's twice as much as I usually drink)!

4. Thanks!
You DUers are the best.

:grouphug:

I told them about how neat it was getting up at 3 a.m. this morning to participate in the World Peace Meditation Day. We beat the drums, Native-American-style, and a Buddhist monk led us in a great chant. We recited a beautiful affirmative prayer (one tailored to be acceptable to all). Someone played the violin, and recited a poem (his son just came back from Iraq - safe). I recited a poem abut peace and justice. We lit candles and sang peace songs, and spent a few moments closing our eyes, and sending light and peace-oriented energy to the rest of the world.

They just looked at me blankly.

See, my fellow DUers would have told me, "Neat!"

7. Of course they looked at you blankly
It doesn't fit into their "God Bless America and To Hell With Everybody Else" paradigm. Meditation, multicultural themes and affirmative, inclusive prayers? How could they wrap their tiny, closed minds around that?

It sounds like you had a great experience Maat.

And thanks for the reply.

And, no, it did not fit into their paradigm.

It is funny how much we DUers have in common - sometimes we don't even realize how much.
