Geopolitically it sucked, I'll admit that. But right now I'm sitting here nearly in tears, thinking about how happy I am. For the first time in years, I'm not trying to decide if this year sucked worse than the last. For the first time in what seems like forever, I'm looking forward to the future with a sense of hope and anticipation.

I am the luckiest man alive. When 2005 began, I never thought I'd say that by the end of the year. But it's true. God bless you, 2005. :loveya:
