Has anyone ever seen "A Tale of Two Sisters?"
Watched it last night. Gorgeous and creepy, low on the blood and gore scale, and, well, gorgeous.

It's one that's hard to talk about w/out giving too much away and I'm not 100% sure I got all that there is to get. But I'd recommend it to all psychological horror fans.

5. Ya know, that makes me think....
As far as I know, there haven't been any horror/pornos, unless you count The Blair Bitch Project (which was soft-core so it doesn't really count). Seems like there could be a goldmine out there for an enterprising filmmaker.

6. Well....
There have been a few, but they are genearlly soft-core.

Many jurisdictions, such as the UK and most Canadian Provinces, haver specific rules about combining violence with explicit sex.

For example, in Canada, it's legal to sell xxx porn, but not featuring anyone who appears to be coerced, including (even consensual)bondage, etc.

I used to know the specifics of the regulations, but I don't anymore. But the bottom line is that it's not feasable to produce such a film for wide distribution, because you'd be prohibited from several lucrative markets.

7. Well there's this little jewel

IIRC, the sex would be considered HC even by today's standards.

9. There's a movie called "Sexcula" from the '70s.
Hardcore, I believe, but now lost to the sands of time. It had a character called "Fellatingstein," though.

13. I'm reading "Shakey" at the moment, believe it or not.
Also, I'm from his hometown, through which the Red River rolls on, so maybe that gives me some extra bit of insight. (Probably not.)

Anyway, a happy new year to you, and thanks for those smilies!

PS: BravO

PPS: Haven't seen any of his films - yet. But I love the fact that he's a filmmaker, as that's what I am.
