get banned. On either side. I would rather personal lives be kept personal, and the DemocraticUnderground Lounge be preserved as an oasis of light-hearted fun and fellowship, a bit of an escape from the political discussions which drive this board - I think this is what it is intended to be.

Please know that I understand loyalty to friends. And respect it very much. There are a lot of different ways to show that loyalty. And tearing others down - whether they deserve it or not - delivers no lasting results in my experience. I am not being sarcastic or snide when I say that. I am very, very tired and sad about all of this.

Fires die when there is nothing left to burn. If we could just stop throwing logs on it, I believe that this one would die and everyone involved could actually get on with rebuilding happy, new lives as the new year begins.
