First, personally and then politically.

4. Personally,
I got to go to the first showing of Star Wars in my town, and I personally 'Out-Nerded' a dude that was ten years older than me (And quite hot) and then I was the first one to yell out when the whole thing was done!

Politically, I laid the Holy Schmackdown on someone at school, and they proceeded to scuttle into the miserable corners of their life, after I publicly humiliated them for being children of neo-nazi assholes. They were trying to force some propaganda on us all and I stood up and yelled them down.

11. Personally, I almost made a B in math. It was scary.
Politically, I went to vote and all there was on the ballot was a school bond referendum, which I voted for. Also politically,

Bush finally stepped in it.

And by "it," I mean the bullshit he has been making for the last 5 years. Yup, he finally stepped in his own huge flaming pile o' shit.

Policital? Delay felt really good, as did the various polls showing * is at an alltime low. Bad? What they are doing in my state to Medicaid/Medicare recipients and mental health in general.

Just kidding...I love you guys.

It was a rather uneventful year around these parts, but I'd say the mopst important personal event was visiting Chicago for the first time. Politically, it would be voting in my first non-presidential election.

Congratulations to you proles!

My son moved out, and daughter and baby moved
back home. Unfortunately, her husband is in Iraq.

Here is a photo from DU's Funkybutt included
in my Best 9/11 Media Truth 2005 List.
Sadly, Maggie lost her photos in Katrina
but I had saved four (from DU) in my own
"sign graphic artist archive".
The other three can be seen here:
http://digitalstyledesigns.com/pages/Signs.htm

Politically, here is a list I made a couple days ago.
I have recieved far more positive email feedback
about this 2005 list than any other project I have
created in this campaign! It is very surprising.

Best of 9/11 Truths Media, 2005
Categories include:
Best 9/11 Truth Reporting, Leading 9/11 Truth Women,
Best Truth Event, Best media efforts, Most Reliable
Researcher, Most Powerful Messenger of 2005,
Most Notable Scientist, and the Year's Biggest
Disappointment (cancellation of a KC event).

30. hahahaha
Annus Horribilus.

So: there I was, living and working in the UK for four years despite massive resistance from my relatives, who are mostly freepers. Plus I hadn't watched any Longhorn football, eaten a real enchilada, spent Christmas with my family, or taken a swim in a turqoise pool in the heat of August - for four years.

I came home from work one day to have my partner (of four years) tell me that he needed some 'space' and that I needed to come back to the US for a 'trail separation'. He convinced me to get a leave of absence from my good job (training, good salary, company car, prospects) by telling them I had a family illness in the US to tend to, after three years of crap retail jobs I had to work (with a masters degree!) because the immigration authorities had my passport under consideration and I could neither leave the country (missed two close family funerals and two weddings) nor get a 'real' job.

Then as soon as I got here to the belly of the beast, less than 48 hours later, he tells me on the phone that I ought to start looking for a job over here. Then he sends me my stuff via international courier, in nine boxes. Then he buys a house in Switzerland and moves there to find himself. Meanwhile, I have to move in with my parents, work in customer service to save up enough money to get out of this shithole town, and start all over again after four years of sacrifice and working my ass off. All this a mere nine months before I was due to qualify for permanent residence status in my adopted country, meaning that I could enter or return there, with full work and residence rights, for the rest of my LIFE. But now I can't. I am trapped in the US, and can only go back as a tourist, after all that immigration hassle.

Politically - it's all been horrible, but I would have to say the continuing illegal occupation of Iraq, with the more-than-100,000 civilan deaths and more-than-2000 US military deaths, all for the sake of greed, has been the worst thing. Again. This and the fact that it is made possible by the wilfull ignorance of the American people.

32. Personally - my mom passed away
It was a sudden and unexpected death, and I'm just now emerging from the fog I have been walking around in for 3 weeks.

Politically, it was the hurricanes and lack of government response. My family lives in Louisiana and were very much affected by Katrina and Rita.
