Mail order prescriptions
I'm new at this prescription thing, at least for my own use. Supposedly, I could save money using my Rx plan's mail order service. So, I ordered a 30 day supply. The company called my doctor, who OKed filling a 90 day supply, for which I was billed 3 times what I expected. Nobody called me, dammit. I only called them to check my order status.
And my bp meds give me quite a buzz so far. I should have started those a long time ago.

1. 90 days is pretty typical.....I know my mail order service has that, too.
Glad to hear that you are taking care of yourself, my dear evlbstrd!

Did you ever get any feedback on your labs and so on?

:loveya:

2. It was quite a shock to the bank account, though.
I haven't heard about lab results yet. I don't go back to the doc until Jan. 23, so if there's something horribly wrong, I guess he'd let me know before that.
I'm still smoking like a chimney while I wait for the drugs to arrive. I'm scheduled to be a nervous wreck by the end of January.

3. CHECK YOUR PLAN..
our co-pay is the same for a 30 or 90 day supply.. that's the advantage of mail order..one co-pay for 3 times the meds..

4. I have a crappy plan.
It's a stop-gap plan until I can get a job and real insurance.
So, I paid 3 times what I expected to pay.
