:bounce:

I know. Pretty pathetic to be that excited about a major appliance, but hey, I'm old.

9. Isn't it? The manager of the department at Best Buy
essentially talked me into it. He put his cell phone in the machine, closed the door, dialed it and you couldn't hear a thing. That sold me on it. Plus, you can wash either the top rack or the bottom rack or both, however you have it loaded.

That is huge too, because DH keeps running it 1/4 filled. Mainly because the current one does such a poor job.

10. Oooooohhh...that is quiet!
Mine is only 1.5 years old, but it's a bottom of the line model (it came with the house). It sounds like a hurricane is going on inside the wash tub. But, I have to admit it sure does clean dishes.

12. My current one is not that loud, but it doesn't clean for crap.
I would take noise anyday. It's not that old, either, maybe 5 years. I read somewhere that dishwashers don't really do the cleaning, it is the detergent and the amount of enzymes and found out that the WalMart brand was the highest in enzymes, so I tried it.

No luck. It just doesn't do a good job. I am constantly having to pull bits out of the jet holes.

And, some of the tines were breaking. A very big disappointment because it wasn't that cheap 5 years ago. It should have lasted longer than it did.

17. Ya know, my parents have come to a similar realization.
They have bought a fancy-schmancy dishwasher, washer and dryer in the past few years, and ALL of them have sucked to one degree or another. In the future, they're just going to buy basic models from a good manufacturer. If those suck, at least they're cheaper. I have a basic dishwasher, stove, washer and dryer, and they all work really well.

7. Nope, not being installed until Saturday.
I can hardly wait!!!!!! My current one sucks so bad, you have to essentially wash the dishes either before or after they go in/come out of the dishwasher.

Major pain in the butt.

20. My wife had me take hers out for more cabinet space. She said it
took longer to load and unload the damn thing that it does to take them to the sink and wash them. Not only that, but it used a lot of hot water too.

about them. We should all be trying to conserve energy too...

23. I know. I was pulling your leg.
There is NO way I could do the dishes for this family. There are a total of six of us and I can barely keep up running the darned thing twice a day.

I would be spending all my time doing dishes and laundry and nothing else if I did the dishes by hand.

It is an energy saving model and filled up, I think it would probably use as much hot water/electricity as doing them by hand.
