I'm not putting anyone down for their threads on what state anyone likes the most in different regions of the country, but every time threads are started on different areas of the country it seems strange to me.
I have done a little traveling in my day and I can say that I have seen areas of the country that were beautiful and places that looked like shit. As for the 'food wars", I have tasted some great cooking in all areas I have been in and I have tasted crappy food in the same areas.
In my short 41 years of living I have realized that people are people no matter where you go. There are good people and there are complete assholes and I have never been able to pin them down to certain regions or what state I was in.
I am from Ohio and I have no problem with where I live, but in no way do I consider it to be the "bestest state in the land". It's just a friggin' area of the country that I live in. It doesn't bum me out when people rag on Ohio or even Cleveland for that matter. I could care less because it really doesn't matter to me.
I will admit that I have never really been a competitive person and maybe that's why I don't understand why people go on about these things. I was shitty in sports when I was a child because I really felt it was too much trouble to actually win because in the big picture there was no real payoff. I feel the same about chunks of land, what is the big payoff if I could convince someone that where I hang my hat is better than where they hang their hat?
This thread even means nothing. :hi:
