Tricia extends Jesus a helping hand.

She was not Mrs. 180 then. It was a younger happier time full of innocence.

She was Tricia then. Her sister was Mary Jo.

They lived in the Low Country of South Carolina near the swamps and gnats and mosquitoes and snakes and alligators and others of God's creatures both great and small.

One day Tricia and Mary Jo attended a holy roller type church with some friends. During the very exciting services Mary Jo was moved to step forward to accept Jesus as her savior. Tricia laid her hand gently on Mary Jo's shoulder.

Outside a few minutes later happy puffing on cigarettes Mary Jo excitedly told Tricia how she felt Jesus touch her shoulder.

Tricia said; "That was me you damned fool. I wanted to go out and get a smoke."

After we were married I sometimes went with the sister in laws to the church in the old school house.

I will have to admit it was loud and fun.

Not at all like the Quaker Meetings my Grandparents treated me to.
