ABC's hit show LOST... What is your theory of the show?
In other words, what is your explanation for all the weird sh*t that is happening on this show? The most plausible theory is that there it is all a convoluted, very complicated experiment being carried out by some government scientists.

My favorite wacky theory... all the characters are really contestants on a reality TV show... but they think they are the only ones who know it is a TV show... so everyone is acting like it is all real!

What are your theories?

Peace,

1. My theory is that it will become TOO convoluted and complicated
in its details and fall apart at its plot seams a la "Twin Peaks."

7. That is the fate of all shows that have "mysterious" fantastic plots, that
are spooled out over time... the more fantastic and mysterious, the more the eventual revelations can't possibly live up to the level of hype generated.

"X-Files" was also a victim of this, IMHO... I always liked their "stand alone" stories way, way better than the "aliens/conspiracy/cig smoking man" episodes, although some good episodes were part of that plot story, and some good episodes were kind of "in between".

8. I agree.
It's very difficult to like something for which there is no explanation, or the explanation is so complicated, it's basically impossible to understand.

6. The Hurley dude will wake up and realize it was all a bad dream
brought on by eating spicy food before bedtime.
